Governor

 

1. The governor presides at all meetings of the society, and at the Board of Assistants Meeting whenever it meets. He/she also performs such other duties as pertains to the chief officer of an organization.

2. He/she provides leadership in planning organizing, coordinating, and directing the affairs and activities of the Society of Mayflower Descendants in the State of Wyoming.

3. He/she implements policy and program decisions of the Board of Assistants and of the general membership reached during official meetings.

4. Maintains oral and written communications with other state societies, and the General Society as needed.

5. He presents a full report during each annual meeting which will also indicate the status of the society to those members present.

6. Serves-as an ex-officio member of each committee.

7. He/she serves as Editor of “The Cowboy Mayflower Log", or semi-annual newsletter. This society participates with other sister societies in a newsletter exchange. This enables us to keep abreast of news of other societies, which also generates information which can be used in our newsletter if the editor so chooses.
