The process to join the Society of Mayflower Descendants in Wyoming is as follows.

Step 1.  Contact the State Historian and express your interest in joining the Society.  You may contact the Historian by email, telephone, or US Post.  The Historian’s contact information can be found by clicking here.

Step 2.  The State Historian will send you a preliminary application to fill out.  When you have completely filled out the preliminary application, send it back to the State Historian along with a non-refundable application fee for $150.00.  You may find the preliminary application form here.

Step 3. When the State Historian receives your preliminary application and application fee, she will send you an additional Worksheet with instructions to continue the process.  You will be required to furnish birth, death, and marriage certificates for all events after the 1900’s.

Step 4.  It is now up to you to completely fill in the information and provide the documentation to prove your lineage from one of the above Mayflower passerngers.

Step 5.  After you complete the Worksheet and gather your documentation, send it all back to the State Historian for review and approval.  If there are questions, you will be asked to furnish further information and/or documentation.  Once all questions have been answered and all documentation has been furnished, the State Historian will prepare your application for your review and signature.

Step 6.  Once the State Historian and you are satisfied with your application, the State Historian will send it to the Historian General of the General Mayflower Society.

Step 7.  Once the Historian General accepts and approves your application the State Society will contact you with your State Society number and the General Society number.
